Open Burning - 2021
By submitting this permit, you agree:
To only burn brush, cane, driftwood, forestry debris, agriculture-related materials, fungus-infected Elmwood, or agricultural land clearing under the following conditions:
- You must activate your permit on our website daily before burning to be sure air quality conditions are acceptable for burning (Click Here to Activate your Permit)
- Burning is only permitted between 10 am and 4 pm January 15-May 1
- Burning must be done at least 75 feet from all buildings
- You must have a hose or water source nearby to extinguish the fire
- You must review State Burning Regulations before burning
Burning of the following is prohibited statewide:
- Brush, trees, cane, and driftwood from commercial and institutional land clearing operations
- Burning at landfills or refuse disposal facilities other than approved sites
- Stacking, or storing combustible material in a way that the Department may presume that it will be burned, for example, Grass, Hay, Leaves, Stumps, Tires
